If you want to be involved in rural development related work for a prosperous India, SBI can take advantage of Youth for India Fellowship Program. This fellowship runs State Bank of India with the help of many NGOs. It is for graduates who have the passion of developing rural India.
What is it
The fellowship program will last for 13 months, in which two batches will be organized in August and October. Fellowships will be run in these states of India: Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, UP and Uttarakhand. Candidates can choose any state according to their convenience. Initially there will be training session in which information about the state and program will be given. On the basis of choice and merit, the project will be assigned.
Who can apply
Candidates are of Indian origin. The age should be between 21-32 years and he is graduate from a recognized university.
Selection
100 fellows will be selected from all over the country for fellowship Candidates will have to write an essay on the basis of which they will be shortlisted till June 13 when applying. Finally, interviews with shortlisted interviews will be held on July 1. Candidates who have been finalized will be given 15 thousand rupees each month.
